The Working Harbor Committee and the South St. Seaport Museum are sponsoring a cruise of New York Harbor’s working waterfront aboard the Zephyr, a Circle Line Downtown tour boat, beginning at 6 p.m. Wed., June 20, from Pier 16 in the South St. Seaport.
The cruise, which offers cocktails and wine at a cash bar, will go north on the East River beneath the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, then south along the Brooklyn shore and across to Staten Island past the tug yards on Kill Van Kull and back to Pier 16. It is the sixth annual event sponsored by the Working Harbor Committee, a nonprofit group that promotes knowledge about the harbor and runs a youth education program.
