Long-awaited work on the Tribeca section of the Hudson River Park has been pushed back another month until the end of June, according to Chris Martin, spokesperson of the Hudson River Park Trust. The Trust will have to stop pile-driving work for the new Piers 25 and 26 by Halloween and they can’t start that work until work begins (and ends) removing the pier decks. When the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development approved $70 million for the park in April, Martin said work could begin in May. He said last week the Trust is working to finalize paperwork and now he hopes work begins in a few weeks.
