A 22-year-old Bronx man was stabbed to death on the Upper East Side early Tuesday by his ex-girlfriend’s new love, police said.

Xavier Olivares first confronted his ex and her new boyfriend, Gustavo Rodriguez, near the corner of Third Avenue and East 94th Street at about 1:15 a.m. But the Rodriguez, who lives nearby on 101st Street, attacked Olivares, stabbing him multiple times in the chest.

The woman then managed to flag down a cab and take Olivares, who is the father of her 2-year-old child, to Metropolitan Hospital Center, police said, but he didn’t survive.

Rodriguez was charged with murder, felony assault, and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Attorney information for him was not immediately available.
