Art of the High SeasDiscover the many ways in which the majesty of the ocean has captivated the imagination of artists and seafarers for centuries. With ships, oceans and sea life as the theme, families can choose from a variety of different art projects which they can display at home. Saturdays from 12-3pm. BPC Halloween ParadeCome creep, crawl, hop, dance or walk through the annual Children’s Halloween Parade sponsored by the Battery Park City Neighbors’ Association. Sat., Oct. 27. Gather at Liberty St. ramp at 11:45am. Immediately following, the World Financial Center will be sponsoring their Great Pumpkin Party. There will be Trick-or-Treating and games for kids in the Winter Garden from noon – 4pm. Free for children of all ages.

Fishing BluesHear bluesman Michael Hill perform songs relating to fishing and childhood. Part of Battery Park City Park Conservancy’s Go Fish event with catch-and-release fishing for all ages. Sat., Oct. 20 at 12:30pm. WAGNER PARK. Free.

Goodnight MoonBunny’s imagination is never at rest. Before his head hits the pillow, he must say goodnight to everything in the room, but with each goodnight, something comes to life. Halloween Parade & PartyThe Friends of Washington Market Park present the Annual Family Halloween Parade and Party featuring music by Louis Miranda and Subanda plus pony rides and games. Sat., Oct. 27 from 3-5pm. Line up at 3:15 pm in front of the Citigroup Building Plaza, Greenwich St., just north of N. Moore. www.washingtonmarketpark.org. No strollers in the Park during the event.

Halloween PartyEnjoy a spooky haunted house, face painting, trick-or-treating and Halloween treat bag decorating. All who come to the Museum in costume will receive a prize. Museum staff will also provide tips on how to stay safe this Halloween. Every child will receive a free Halloween wrist reflector. All ages. Sat., Oct. 20 from 11am –2pm.
