Purse Theft at goop Lab on Bond Street
A man is wanted for an alleged theft at the goop Lab, at 25 Bond St., on Thursday, Jan. 30, according to officials. Around 5:15 p.m., a female employee discovered store merchandise was missing and contacted the police. An investigation found that earlier that day, around 3:52 p.m., an unknown man entered and allegedly took a purse worth around $23,000. He then fled west toward Lafayette Street.
East Village apartment break-in
A woman returned to her East Village apartment on Saturday, Feb. 1, to find it had been burglarized, according to police. The woman, 24, came home near Second Avenue and East 12 St., and discovered the bedroom window opened. An investigation found that someone entered the apartment through the window, by the fire escape, police said. Once inside, he allegedly took electronics and jewelry, before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Stolen credit card used at East Village Target
A woman is wanted by police for allegedly using a stolen credit card to make big purchases at the Target store at 500 East 14th St., officials said. On Thursday, Jan. 30, around 11 p.m., a woman was seen on surveillance cameras allegedly buying $3,974 worth of goods with a stolen card, before fleeing. The credit card had been reported stolen earlier on Jan. 30 by a woman, 43, who said her Prada purse, containing $200 cash and several credit cards, was stolen from the Gemma restaurant at 335 Bowery.
Forcible touching in Union Square subway
There was a groping incident inside the Union Square subway station on Tuesday, Feb. 11, police said. Around 12:25 p.m., on the mezzanine level, a woman, 52, was walking in the station when a man allegedly grabbed her midsection through her clothing. The man then fled to the street, in an unknown direction.
