Two men were shot in Brooklyn on Thursday morning and detectives are scrambling to find the suspect(s) responsible for the gun violence.
Law enforcement sources said the incident happened at about 8 a.m. on March 20 near an apartment complex at 327 Wilson Ave. in Bushwick.
Officers from the 83rd Precinct initially responded to the location after receiving a ShotSpotter activation. ShotSpotter is the NYPD’s citywide network of sensors designed to pick up sounds of possible gunfire and initiate a quick response.

Cops subsequently located at the Wilson Avenue location a 33-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to his buttocks and a graze wound to his head. EMS rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Moments later, however, police learned that another victim had been taken via private means to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for treatment at about 8:35 a.m. Thursday.
Law enforcement sources said the victim, a 25-year-old man, suffered gunshot wounds in the abdomen and arm. He is currently listed in stable condition. It is unclear whether he was connected to the shooting victim found on Wilson Avenue.
The 83rd Precinct has seen a surprising number of shootings since the start of 2025. Year-to-date through March 16, according to the most recent CompStat report, the command logged three shootings; there were no shootings tallied at the same point in 2024.

After Thursday morning’s shooting was confirmed, police combed the apartment complex on Wilson Avenue, looking for shell casings and other evidence.
At this time, police do not yet know the circumstances leading up to the shooting or have a description of a suspected shooter. The investigation is ongoing.
