Mother takes off with 10-year-old son after unsupervised visit in the Bronx: cops

Cops are looking for a mother who took off with her son after an unsupervised visit in the Bronx.

According to police, at 10 a.m. on March 15, 38-year-old Samantha Matos left 620 Rosedale Avenue with her son, 10-year-old Elijah Pineda, after an unsupervised visitation. Matos failed to return home with her son and fled to an unknown location.

Pineda is described as a Hispanic boy with brown hair, brown eyes, standing 5 feet tall, and weighing 80 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue track suit and black sneakers.

Police could not confirm if Matos, described as Hispanic, has a history of taking off with her son.
