Police want public’s help finding suspect in Bronx fatal shooting

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to the murder of a Bronx man on Commonwealth Avenue.

The NYPD released photos of the suspect, 36-year-old Dane Richardson, on Wednesday, saying he is known to frequent the Soundview Houses in the Bronx and Richmond, Virg. 

Police say that just before 4 a.m. on Aug. 18, police responded to a 911 call about a person shot in front of 539 Commonwealth Ave., where they found 26-year-old Nestor Ventura shot multiple times in the chest.

He was pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

On Wednesday, police asked that the public look for Richardson, who is 5-foot-6 and 170 to 180 pounds with braided hair.
