Bronx boy, 8, fighting for life after being shot in head: reports

Reports have come in of an 8-year-old boy being shot in the head at Fordham Hill Oval in the Bronx.

EMS and police responded to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 18. The child was transported to NY-Presbyterian and is in critical condition.

NYPD recovered the 9mm gun used in the shooting at the scene. No arrests have been made and the case is ongoing.
