Roommate on the run after stabbing a woman in their Manhattan apartment: NYPD

A woman was stabbed by her roommate after getting into an argument in their Manhattan apartment on Sunday night.

According to police, at 8:25 p.m. on April 19, a 30-year-old woman got into an argument with her female roommate at their apartment located in the vicinity of East 86th Street and 2nd Avenue. Sources familiar with the investigation stated that the argument was over the roommate’s alcohol use.

Following the argument, the victim told police that her roommate stabbed her several times in the shoulder, abdomen, thigh and sustained a slash wound to her face.  The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. 

EMS rushed the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
