These neighborhoods in New York City sold the most homes over the last ten years: report

A recent report sought to find out which areas of New York City sold the most homes over the past decade.

A new report from PropertyClub took a look at which New York City boroughs and neighborhoods were among the best-selling over the past ten years. As a whole, Queens sold the most homes sold — the borough had 108,810 homes sold between 2010 and 2019, with a total sales volume of $64,527,326,442.

The second highest selling borough was Brooklyn with 95,132 homes sold and a total sales volume of $80,155,589,563. Manhattan was the third highest selling borough with 61,664 homes sold, however the borough had the highest sales volume with a total of $152,396,203,501 between 2010 and 2019.

Staten Island was the fourth highest with 40,275 homes sold and a total sales volume of $19,338,881,030. Rounding out the bottom of the list was the Bronx with 26,506 homes sold and a total sales volume of $11,398,791,510.

In terms of individual New York City neighborhoods, Queens’ Flushing North area was the best-selling over the last ten years with 11,623 total homes sold. Coming in at number two was Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood with 7,219 homes sold, followed by Queens’ Ozone Park neighborhood with 5,867 homes sold. 

The fourth top-selling neighborhood from 2010 through 2019 was Manhattan’s Upper West Side with 5,375 total homes sold. Following behind at number five is Brooklyn’s East New York neighborhood with 5,030 total homes sold.
