MLB predictions season is here and for as much things change, they sure do feel the same.

The 2025 season begins with the Los Angeles Dodgers as the overwhelming favorites to repeat as World Series champions, and understandably so. The team that was already stacked with Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernandez, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto somehow got even better. They bolstered their starting rotation with the high-profile acquisitions of two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell and the highly-prized Japanese youngster Roki Sasaki.

It feels like everyone is paying for second place, but this is why we play the games. Championships are not played out on paper.

Both New York clubs are hoping they can get another crack at the Dodgers. The Mets lost to LA in six games in the NLCS before the Yankees were disposed of by them in five games in the World Series.

The Mets’ championship chances increased with the mind-boggling signing of Juan Soto, while the Yankees are still deemed the class of the American League by many — even with all the injuries.

How will it all play out? The amNewYork Sports staff took a crack at all of it.
