The Yankees slugger’s Coral Gables, Florida, house will be featured on the cover of Architectural Digest’s Great Design Issue. Rodriguez, who has 692 career home runs, built the 11,000 square-foot home for himself and his daughters, Natasha and Ella. The house has an entirely artificial green lawn, a chemical-free saltwater pool, an in-ground trampoline and an indoor basketball court. “Traveling as much as I do, what I really wanted was someplace peaceful, where I could rest and recover and be with my daughters,” Rodriguez told the magazine. “The words I kept thinking were long term. I kept imagining my kids rushing home from college for the holidays.” The issue hits newsstands Tuesday.
