There are just four teams remaining in the NFL Playoffs with the postseason entering the Conference Championships. With the narrowing of the field, we’ve seen a shift at the top of the betting odds as well.

The Chiefs were the favorite to win the 2023 Super Bowl, according to most sportsbooks, heading into the Divisional Round but with Patrick Mahomes’ injury, the Eagles have surged ahead of them, and even the Cincinnati Bengals, fresh of their domination of the Bills, have closed the gap on the Chiefs.

So who looks like the best bet remaining?

Let’s dive into the full odds and some of our favorite bets with odds courtesy of DraftKings.

Team Odds to win

Philadelphia Eagles

+245
Kansas City Chiefs +265
Cincinnati Bengals +265
San Francisco 49ers +330

The Favorites

As mentioned above, the Eagles have leapfrogged the Chiefs to be the betting favorites and are also currently 2.5-point favorites over the 49ers in the NFC Championship. It makes some sense since they were the number one overall seed in the playoffs and then throttled the Giants in the Divisional Round. However, I’m hesitant to lay my money on the Eagles for a reason I’ll get to later.

When you add to that the fact that Patrick Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain over the weekend, it’s easy to see how bettors should be more confident in Philadelphia than Kansas City. In fact, I think a bet on the Chiefs right now makes no sense considering they’re actually 2.5-point underdogs to the Bengals at home but still have the same odds to win the Super Bowl.

It’s a good thing that last week we promoted betting on Cincinnati to win the AFC at +400 because those odds are now -135, which is a huge difference. At the time, I mentioned that the Bengals “are one of the hottest teams in football and have already beaten the Chiefs once this season, not to mention topping them to reach the Super Bowl last year. The moment won’t be too big, and they have the offense to keep up with anybody.

I also liked them at +800 to win the Super Bowl, and, obviously, those odds have fallen considerably as well, but I still would rather back the Bengals than the Eagles at current odds.

Dark Horse Bet

I also mentioned that the San Francisco 49ers at +450 were my favorite pick of this group. I still love the 49ers at +330 to win the Super Bowl and don’t think they’re getting enough respect. Brock Purdy faced a talented Cowboys defense last week and managed the game, avoiding mistakes and allowing his talented playmakers to make enough plays to win the game. The Eagles also have a strong defense, but Purdy has proven he can keep the 49ers in games and let their defense with it for them. I think they can do that again.

Super Bowl Exacta

The NFL has also created a new way to bet on the Super Bowl, where you can choose the exact matchup and result. While the odds are long because the chances of nailing it exactly are tough, it can be a fun way to play the odds without having to be as specific about knowing who will raise the trophy.

If you choose to go in that direction, some of my favorite bets to play are:

Super Bowl Exacta Result Odds
49ers to beat Bengals  +700
Bengals to beat 49ers +700
Bengals to beat Eagles +500
