The Giants are lowering the cost of tickets for preseason games by roughly 50 percent while raising the cost of regular-season games between $10 and $25 per ticket, a price adjustment the team says will reduce the total cost of packages for almost all season-ticket holders.
It is the first change in pricing since the Giants moved to MetLife Stadium for the 2010 season.
Prior to the change, season-ticket holders were forced to purchase preseason games at full price with their packages. That policy is employed by almost every NFL team. It has resulted in complaints from fans who do not want to pay regular-season prices for what often is a subpar product in preseason games.
As for regular-season games, non-club regular season tickets will go up by $10-$20, depending on location in MetLife Stadium. Club tickets will be increased by $15-$25, depending on location.
The cost for parking remains $30 per game and can only be purchased on a season basis.
A letter outlining the price changes was emailed to season-ticket holders on Tuesday. Hard copies of the letter along with invoices for the season tickets will be mailed this week.
