The Jets cornerback will appear on the cover of SI's upcoming July 27, 2015 edition. If the cover looks awfully familiar to long-time readers, it should: Revis recreated Joe Namath's iconic pose from SI's "Football Goes Show Biz" cover on the July 19, 1965 issue. It's not the only throwback in the latest edition of the magazine. Revis also recreated Namath's famous poolside photo, with a cameo by Namath himself. Revis signed a five-year, $70-million contract (of which $39 million is guaranteed) this offseason with the Jets, reuniting the star cornerback with the team who drafted him 14th overall in 2007. Revis spent six years with the Jets before being traded to the Buccaneers in 2013 after tearing his ACL. He signed with the Patriots in 2014 and won a Super Bowl.
