The Broncos (10-4) are in first place in the AFC West, but if the surging Chiefs (9-5), winners of eight in a row, overtake them and win the division, the Jets (9-5) will get in as a wild-card team if they finish with the same record as the Broncos because they own the tiebreaker over Denver.
Here's a look at the remaining schedule for the teams in play for the remaining AFC playoff spots as they pertain to the Jets:
vs. New England (12-2)
at Buffalo (6-8)
vs. Browns (3-11)
vs. Raiders (6-8)
at Ravens (4-10)
at Browns (3-11)
vs. Bengals (11-3)
vs. Chargers (4-10)
And here are the AFC playoff scenarios for Week 16:
Kansas City clinches a playoff spot with either a win PLUS a loss by either the Jets or the Steelers.
Pittsburgh clinches a playoff spot with a win AND a loss by the Jets.
