The Top Rams vs. Seahawks Player Props Picks for TNF

rams seahawks player props

The Rams must gather themselves quickly after falling from the ranks of the unbeaten with a home loss to the Cardinals last Sunday. They will face a tough test as they contend with Russell Wilson’s prime time magic, as well as a Seahawks team that has revenge on the mind after Los Angeles eliminated Seattle last postseason. This important NFC West showdown features numerous intriguing individual matchups and figures to draw substantial player props betting.

Let’s jump into our top Thursday Night Football player props picks for this Rams vs. Seahawks showdown.

The Best Rams vs. Seahawks Player Props Picks

Russell Wilson Over 298.5 Total Pass and Rush Yards

Russell Wilson owns the best winning percentage in primetime and has posted his top quarterback back rating in night games. With the quality of opponents a team is likely to face in such games, you can’t produce those two claims to fame without putting up some monster numbers.

Wilson will have another shot to do it here, facing the league’s sixth worst defense in terms of yards allowed. He will also likely need to put up big numbers given the Rams’ top ten yardage and sixth-ranked scoring offense combined with a total set in the mid 50s for this one.

The Rams are bleeding out 273.3 yards per game through the air and another 123.5 on the ground. Since Week 1, Los Angeles has allowed opposing teams’ quarterbacks to top this prop total in each game.  Colts quarterbacks threw for 272 yards and ran for another 37 in Week 2 before Tom Brady threw for 432 yards and ran for 14 more against Los Angeles in Week 3. Last Sunday, Kyler Murray passed for 268 yards and ran for another 39.

Murray would be the closest overlay to Wilson’s style of play that the Rams have seen this season. Despite Wilson having a down year rushing the ball, he produced his highest total last Sunday, gaining 26 yards on the ground — an encouraging sign entering this one. Wilson threw for 298+ yards in his Week 2 and Week 3 games, including 320 yards in his lone home game this season.

Wilson also averaged 295.3 total yards per game during the 2020 regular season, despite only playing in four games with a total higher than this Thursday’s opening number. He should have ample opportunity to fly past this prop bet’s total in the bright lights.

Bobby Wagner Over 9.5 Solo Tackles and Assisted Tackles

It doesn’t get any better than asking the league’s leader in total tackles to simply do what he has done in every other game this season. Bobby Wagner has 54 combined solo and assisted tackles through four games in 2021, six more than any other player in the league. He ranks first in solo tackles (31) and second in assists (23), making him a viable threat to pile up numbers in both here, getting us closer to the total that we need to cash this prop.

In his four games this season, Wagner has recorded 13, 20, 11, and 10 combined tackles, respectively, meaning he would have cashed this prop bet every time. Wagner also happens to play for the team that is allowing the most opponent plays per game in 2021 (74.8), a stat they were also dead last in a season ago.

Last season, in the three games that Wagner played against the Rams, he tallied 7, 6, and 11 solo tackles, each enough to cash his solo tackle prop bet in this game. Given that he’s averaging nearly six helpers per game so far in 2021, those totals would also set him up to easily go over this chosen prop with an average assisted tackle output tonight.

Further, in the most recent meeting between these two, which was played on this same field last January, Wagner posted five assists to go with his 11 solo tackles, for what amounted to a season-high 16 total tackles. Interestingly, Wagner already crushed that number with his 20 combined tackles in Week 2 this season (16 solo, 4 assisted) and should be primed for a bunch more in what promises to be a high-scoring division war here on Thursday Night Football.

Cooper Kupp to Score a Touchdown Anytime

Cooper Kupp was kept out of the endzone for the first time this season on Sunday against the Cardinals. While he may still be stuck on five touchdowns in 2021, what did continue was his streak of receiving double-digit targets this season. Kupp was targeted 13 times, a number that has increased by one each week since Stafford looked his way 10 times in the team’s opening game. The comfort between Kupp and his quarterback has led to 7.5 catches per game and shows the wide receiver is being used in numerous ways, especially around the goal line.

It certainly doesn’t hurt Kupp’s cause that he will be facing the league’s fifth worst passing defense, one allowing 292.8 yards per game through the air. It also may work to his favor that Seattle allows the most rushing yards per game. That’s important because they won’t be easily able to cheat to defend the pass, leaving Kupp in more one-on-one situations at key spots on the field.

The Seahawks are allowing the third most red zone trips in the NFL this season (4.2), with Tennessee making six appearances inside the 20 in the Seahawks’ only other home game this season. Opponents have also scored the eighth most passing touchdowns per game against Seattle (2.0), while the Rams have scored the second most touchdowns through the air (2.8 per game).

We don’t see Stafford’s favorite target being held scoreless again against such a poor defense with just a couple days to prepare for this high-octane Los Angeles offense that averages the fourth most passing yards per game.
