Drake’s ‘Revenge’ pop-up shop brings a crowd to the Bowery

If you’re in the mood for exclusive tour merchandise, Drake’s “Revenge” pop-up shop at 208 Bowery is the perfect place to check out this weekend.

The artist, currently on a “Summer Sixteen” tour with Future, opened shop Thursday, and will give fans the chance to pick up merch until Sunday.

Lines began to form early Thursday morning, with fans waiting to get their hands on a variety of apparel, from $35 hats to $85 hoodies, including in-store only “Revenge” items — a lyric reference from Drake’s song, “Summer Sixteen.”

Brandon Vargas, 20, had been waiting in line since 8 a.m. to gain access into the shop, which was letting in only small groups at a time. Given the wait, Vargas already had his shopping list ready to go. “I’m getting the long-sleeve ‘Revenge’ shirt, and the long-sleeve ‘One Dance’ is all I want,” he said.

And as for a Drizzy sighting later in the day? One can only dream. “I hope so, I really hope so, maybe one day,” Vargas said.

The shop itself featured “Summer Sixteen” merchandise spaciously spread out on metal racks, and (of course) Drake tunes playing on loop.

Take a look at the lines yourself, and decide if a weekend on Bowery is worth the exclusive apparel.
