Lego Live NYC brings ‘Star Wars’ characters, dinosaurs and more to life

As the ubiquitous Lego brick celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, you can join in on the fun at Lego Live NYC.

Whether you’re taking your kids or you’re an AFOL — that’s an adult fan of Lego — there are a slew of events to keep you occupied this weekend. The event, opening Friday at Pier 36 and running through Sunday, features building zones for a variety of Lego brands, including popular licenses such as “Star Wars” and “Minecraft,” as well as classics like “Ninjago,” City, Friends and Architecture.

Fans can also take part in building contests and get pointers from Lego Master Builder Chris Steininger.

Tickets start at $30. Here’s an early look as workers set up.
