Elizabeth Diller, the architect behind The Shed, a new 200,000-square-foot arts center with a telescopic, movable outer shell, spoke about the inspiration behind the building’s design at the center on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. The center at West 30th Street, between 10th and 11th avenues, officially opens to the public on Friday.
