Lovable comedian and “Late Late Show” host James Corden is emceeing this year’s Tony Awards on June 9, which will celebrate the best of the best in American theater.
Actors Bryan Cranston, Jeff Daniels, Adam Driver, Annette Bening, Kelli O’Hara, Patrick Page and many others are nominated for their performances, while “Hadestown” and “Ain’t Too Proud” are at the top of the Tony pack with 14 and 12 nominations, respectively.
And with Corden hosting, the night promises to be full of fun and musical high jinks you won’t want to miss.
Broadway’s big night at Radio City Music Hall begins at 8 p.m., and while theater lovers eagerly await each live performance and award announcement, local bars and restaurants are doing their part to celebrate the event with music, games and food at their own screenings.

Stand Up NY
236 W. 78th St. at 7 p.m.
Drag queens Jacklynn Hyde and Vanna Deux will host this free party (with free food and happy hour drink specials) that will present live drag performances during the commercials. DirtyMoneyDana will make a special guest appearance.
SVA Theatre
333 W. 23rd St., starting at 1 p.m.
This open-house marathon of two classic movie musicals — “Hello, Dolly!” at 1 p.m. and “All that Jazz” at 4 p.m. — will be followed by a viewing of the Tony Awards red carpet and show. It’s free to attend, through seats are first come, first served.
TRU Tony Awards benefit party
Jack Doyle’s Pub and Restaurant, 240 W. 35th St. at 7 p.m.
Broadway producers Pat Addis and Ken Waissman are hosting a fundraiser and Tony viewing party for Theater Resources Unlimited. Attendees will be privy to appetizers, a buffet, wine, dessert, a cash bar and a chance to win tickets to some major Broadway shows. So eat up while you watch the show on five big-screen TVs. Tickets are on sale for $70 and ballots are $6 each.
