A tree blown onto the above-ground tracks of the No. 4 train in the Bronx halted service for several hours Sunday, authorities said.

The tree toppled over near the Woodlawn Station, along Jerome Avenue, at about 6:30 a.m., an MTA spokesman said. For hours service was being terminated at Burnside Avenue

The Parks Department and the NYPD were working to remove the downed tree.

By Sunday evening, service had resumed.
