A water main break in Chelsea suspended the L train and caused delays for several hours Wednesday morning, the MTA said.
Water was flowing into the station because of the water main break shortly after 5 a.m. on 14th Street, between Sixth and Eighth avenues.
After a suspension between Manhattan and Brooklyn, some service resumed at about 7:35 a.m. Regular service was restored shortly after noon when crews had repaired the damage caused by the water, the MTA said.
The cause of the water main break is under investigation.
