The LIRR urged commuters to listen to station announcements and check mta.info/lirr for more information. At about 7:30 a.m., the LIRR reported some delays or cancellations on the Babylon, Hempstead, Port Washington, Long Beach, Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson branches. Westbound trains on several branches will make added stops to accommodate customers from canceled trains, the LIRR said.
