With the Dec. 31 deadline quickly approaching for the Second Avenue subway, the new stations, facilities and infrastructure have begun to take shape.
When the entire line is complete, it will span 8.5 miles, from 125th Street in Harlem to Hanover Square in lower Manhattan. The first phase, set to launch in just two months, will run from the 63rd Street-Lexington Avenue station to a new station at 96th Street.
