NYC weather: Rain for Monday and Tuesday, then sun returns

Spring showers are back to kick off the work week.

According to the National Weather Service, New Yorkers can expect scattered showers throughout the day Monday and into Tuesday. Though temperatures are expected to be milder than the weekend, with Monday’s high near 55 degrees.

The rain is expected to clear out around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, but remain cloudy into the evening hours, the National Weather Service said.

New York City’s first chance for sunshine will be Wednesday, with sunny skies and temperatures near 60 degrees in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

The rest of the week looks to remain sunny with temperatures in the high 50s.
