Police are searching for a green-haired psycho who physically and verbally assaulted a 73-year-old woman aboard a Midtown train last week.
According to police sources, the senior straphanger was riding a Manhattan-bound E train near the 5th Avenue-53rd Street station at around 4:30 p.m. on May 1 when the suspect, a woman with green and blonde hair, sat beside her.
Sources report that the suspect began rambling incoherently before turning her attention to the senior. “Wait until you get off the train, bitch,” the suspect allegedly said.
When the victim attempted to exit the train at 5th Avenue-53rd Street, law enforcement sources said, the unhinged suspect followed her, then struck with a blunt object.
After falling to the ground, the attacker then unleashed a series of punches on her, then sprayed her with soda.
Cops said the suspect was last seen fleeing on board a Queens-bound E train.
The incident was reported to the Midtown North Precinct and NYPD Transit District 1. Police said EMS treated the victim was treated for scratches to her face.
On Tuesday night, the NYPD released images of the attacker, who had green-and-blonde hair and tattoos on her less and left arm; she was last seen wearing a green dress.
