A Brooklyn man was arrested for sexually assaulting and robbing a woman in front of a neighborhood apartment building.

Adrian Quarless, 37, was cuffed in connection to the crime.

According to police, at 1 a.m. on July 25 a 28-year-old woman was walking on the steps going into a building in the vicinity of North 10th Street and Roebling Street when she was allegedly thrown down the stairs by Quarless, who then allegedly penetrated the victim with his finger while forcibly removing her purse.

The purse contained the victim’s cash, identification, and various credit cards. Quarless then allegedly fled the scene and was later spotted using the victim’s credit cards at a CVS, located at 2151 86th Street, and made $46.21 in purchases.

Quarless was taken into custody on July 30 and charged with robbery, sexually motivated robbery, grand larceny and sexual abuse: forcible compulsion.
