Councilmembers Rosie Mendez and Alan Gerson will host a Lower East Side Rat Forum on Wed., Nov. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at P.S. 63, 121 E. Third St. Mendez will moderate, and city representatives will be on hand to answer questions from the public.
Panelists will include officials from the New York City departments of Health, Sanitation, Homeless Services and Parks, as well as the Mayor’s Office Rat Task Force. The officials will discuss how their agencies are working to combat the growing rat problem. Residents will learn how they can help prevent rats in the community.
