Gauchos stampede over Aguila

The Lower East Side Gauchos swept a doubleheader from neighborhood rival Aguila, 14-2, 13-5, this Saturday. The highlight of the first game was back-to-back outside-of-the-park home runs by Danny Nunez and Ishmael Alvarez. Michael Moreno had a no-hitter for the Guachos until Aguila’s Elias Nunez cranked a double off the center field wall in the fourth inning. Moreno ended up striking out 14 in five innings. In the second game, Chris “Red” Rivera joined the power crew with his own home run into the East River. Rivera was also the winning pitcher.
