Man exposes himself on subway: cops

A man is wanted by police for public lewdness on the subway, officials said. On Monday, Feb. 10, around 6:15 p.m., a 20-year-old woman was seated on a downtown 2 train in the 14th Street station, when she saw a man allegedly exposing himself while standing in front of her on the train, according to police. The man and the female victim both got out of the train at the Fulton Street station, officials said.

Police said they are looking for a man in connection with a grand larceny pattern that includes using stolen credit cards to make purchases. The first incident occurred on Dec. 5, around 7:50 p.m., inside the gym Barry’s Bootcamp, at 135 W. 20 St., when a male employee, 28, hung his jacket in the locker room. When he returned, he discovered that his wallet and cell phone had allegedly been taken, officials said. An investigation found that a man made several unauthorized charges with the victim’s credit card, totaling $135, at various locations.

The second incident was on Jan. 2, around 5:15 p.m., inside Crunch Fitness at 215 W. 23 St. A 31-year-old man put his belongings in a locker, and when he returned, found that the lock was allegedly cut and his property had been removed. An investigation found that the alleged thief used the victim’s credit card to make $1,360 worth of purchases at Macy’s in Herald Square.

The third incident was on Jan. 7, around 4:30 p.m., inside Blink Fitness at 5 Bryant Park. A 22-year-old male victim put his wallet in a locker before working out, and when he returned, he discovered that the wallet, containing debit and credit cards, had allegedly been removed. An investigation revealed that the alleged thief made unauthorized charges at several locations.

 

Ex arrested after making threats: cops

A man was arrested after allegedly making threats to his ex-girlfriend, according to a police report. On Saturday, Feb. 22, shortly after midnight, a 26-year-old female victim told police that she was home, in the area of Eighth Avenue and West 21st Street, and she received threatening phone calls and texts from her ex-boyfriend, 28, causing the woman alarm and to fear for her safety. The man was arrested that day for aggravated harassment.

 

Shoplifting on West 30th Street leads to arrest

A man was arrested for allegedly shoplifting several items from Walgreens at 526 W. 30 St., according to officials. On Friday, Feb. 21, at 9 a.m., a male employee told police that an unknown man entered the store and took several items and left the store without paying. The items included four Dove soap products and 10 Gillette razors, with a total value of $114. Police were able to identify the suspect, with the store employee’s help, at West 28 Street and Tenth Avenue, and the man, 47, was arrested for petit larceny.
