Neathway, a British citizen and unemployed medical saleswoman, has a history of harassment, including having been charged in 2010 with harassing Thomas Walsh, an East Village resident.
Judge Abraham Clott set her bail at $200,000 cash or $300,000 bond. As her mother sat in the back of the courtroom, Neathway was remanded to Rikers Island. The judge issued orders of protection for Cashman and his wife. A day after Neathway’s court appearance, Cashman’s wife filed for divorce.
Neathway appeared again in court on Tuesday, the deadline for her to be indicted by a grand jury. However, her lawyers waived the deadline for two weeks so her legal team could better determine the facts of the case and how to proceed.
