Cops searching for group behind violent robbery in Chelsea

Police are looking for the group of suspects who brutally robbed a man in Chelsea on Christmas Eve. 

The 23-year-old victim told police that he was walking near 23rd Street and 7th Avenue at around 4:15 a.m, when the group approached and engaged him in a verbal altercation. 

The situation soon escalated, and the suspects began repeatedly  punching and kicking the victim, before grabbing his cell phone and running off. 

Paramedics rushed the victim to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition following the attack. 

No arrests have yet been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
