The oddsmakers remain bullish that Aaron Rodgers can help turn the New York Jets around in 2024-25 as the opening odds for the winner of Super Bowl LIX have been dropped.

With the future Hall-of-Famer projected to be fully healthy and ready to go under center later this year, the Jets have the 12th-best odds to win their first Super Bowl in over five decades. Of course, it doesn’t help that Gang Green has one of the NFL’s best defenses that should continue to sit near that perch again next year.

Such optimism doesn’t extend to the other tenants at MetLife Stadium, and understandably so.

The Giants are entering an offseason of uncertainty that entails a lot of work from general manager Joe Schoen. The organization seems set on giving Daniel Jones another shot at the franchise quarterback helm, but another injury-ridded season in 2023 still couldn’t mask the regression that was evident across those six games.

Granted, he was behind one of the worst offensive lines in NFL history — a unit that must be addressed by Giants brass this spring.

The future of star running back Saquon Barkley remains very much in question, too, as free agency looms. Big Blue has the option to exercise the franchise tag once again on him, but that will destroy the relationship between the two parties and confirm that the rusher’s future won’t be in New York.

Hence it’s no surprise that the Giants have the second-longest odds to win the Super Bowl in 2025.
