The Eagles have cruised into Super Bowl LVII after clinching the NFC’s No. 1 seed during the 2022-23 regular season behind a 14-3 record. They trounced the New York Giants 38-7 in the Divisional Round before taking care of the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in the NFC title game.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts is enjoying an MVP-caliber season, proving to the litany of doubters last season that he’s capable of being the franchise’s quarterback of the future. Quite a statement considering he threw for 3,701 yards and rushed for an additional 760 with 35 total touchdowns.
But what makes the Eagles such a threat ahead of Super Bowl LVII is their work in the trenches. Their offensive line has developed into one of the better units in football while their defensive front is one of the more imposing packs in the game. Philadelphia has posted 70 sacks this season (including the playoffs), which is the third-most in NFL history.

They’ll be coming after Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes with everything they have, especially because they could be smelling blood in the water. The All-Pro passer is dealing with an ankle injury that hampered him throughout Kansas City’s thrilling last-second winner in the AFC title game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It’ll be up to an offensive line that is one of the very best protectors in the game to give Mahomes time and keep him on his feet. That’ll be the great equalizer considering the quarterback is coming off one of the finest seasons of his career, passing for 5,250 yards with 41 passing touchdowns and just 12 interceptions.
This is the third time in four years that the Chiefs are in the big game under the guidance of head coach Andy Reid, who will look across the sidelines at State Farm Stadium in Super Bowl LVII and see the team he coached from 1999-2012 staring back at him.
