As tributes continue to roll in for Kobe Bryant — who was killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and nine others — one petition is suggesting an ultimate way to commemorate the Lakers legend.

And it’s gaining steam.

A petition on Change.org  has received over 1.9 million signatures to make Bryant the new logo of the NBA.

“With the untimely and unexpected passing of the great Kobe Bryant please sign this petition in an attempt to immortalize him forever as the new NBA Logo,” it read.

Even before his shocking death, Bryant was considered one of the greatest basketball players of all-time.

The 18-time All-Star and five-time NBA champion ranks fourth on the league’s all-time scoring list with 33,643 career points.

The NBA’s current logo features the silhouette of Hall-of-Famer Jerry West, who spent all 14 seasons of his career with the Lakers. He was an All-Star in each season, won an NBA title in 1972, and averaged 27 points per game during that span.

He is also the man who traded for Bryant as Lakers general manager after the Charlotte Hornets picked him 13th overall in the 1996 draft out of Lower Merion High School outside of Philadelphia.
