Photographer Richard Terry has sued singer Chris Martin, alleging the Coldplay frontman purposefully hit him with his Jeep outside a Santa Monica, California, restaurant in January.
Citing court documents, E! News said Wednesday that the lawsuit, filed Monday, contends Martin, 38, turned his steering wheel sharply to jump the sidewalk where Terry was attempting to photograph Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, his passenger.
The suit says Terry suffered “permanent and serious injuries” from the incident.
Martin has not responded.
