Set in colonial Yorktown, this production puts a unique spin on the classic. Featuring local professional dancers and dance students, the non-company nature of the production offers a unique and impressive performance When: Dec. 12 - 13 Where: Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W. 55th St. Tickets: $22 - 45 'The Hip Hop Nutcracker' at the United Palace of Cultural Arts 'The Hip Hop Nutcracker' takes Tchaikovsky's music, adds an electric violin, DJ and MC and choreographs a piece using hop hop instead of classical ballet. Set in contemporary Washington Heights, this is a relevant and fun way to enjoy the 100+ year old piece.
