Police in Brooklyn need the public’s help in finding two creeps who conspired to rape a woman inside her apartment over the weekend.
On Monday morning, the NYPD released images of the suspects behind the vile assault which occurred at about 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the vicinity of 59th Street and 9th Avenue in Borough Park.
According to law enforcement sources, the perverted perpetrators forced their way into the residence and confronted a 49-year-old woman. They then forced her to engage in sex with one of the suspects.
Following the sexual assault, the suspects exited the location and fled to parts unknown.
The incident was reported to the 66th Precinct. Police did not report whether the woman suffered serious physical injury.
The NYPD described both suspects in the attack as men in their 30s with medium complexions and slim builds, standing between 5 feet, 9 inches and 6 feet tall. They both had black hair as well as facial hair.
Anyone with information regarding the rape or the suspect’s whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). You can also submit tips online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X (the site formerly known as Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
The 66th Precinct reported 21 rapes year-to-date through Dec. 17, one more than the total tallied at the same point in 2022, according to the most recent CompStat report.
The NYPD maintains that rape is the most underreported crime in the city. Anyone who is a victim of sexual assault is urged to contact the 24-hour NYPD Special Victims Division hotline at 212-267-RAPE (7273).
