A man is wanted by police after a burglary in an East Village apartment last month, officials said.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Dec. 28, around 1 a.m., inside an apartment building on East 2nd Street. A man got into the apartment by forced entry, police said, causing damage to the front door.
Once inside, the thief allegedly took a wallet, which contained $200 in cash and several credit cards. The victim was a 24-year-old woman, and it was unknown if she was home at the time of the incident, police said.
Police released images of the suspect in the 9th Precinct burglary, and he is described as being in his mid-20s to late 30s.
