ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT ALL WEEK
Battle at the Meadowlands means more traffic on Manhattan streets. The Giants and Jets face off in a preseason match-up 7:30 p.m. Friday at MetLife Stadium.About 75,000 fans turned out last year, so a crush of drivers will take to the Lincoln Tunnel, sending more down to the Holland.
In the Lincoln Tunnel, the New York-bound south tube will close 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. During the same time, one New York-bound lane will close in the Holland Tunnel. The Lincoln closure will send traffic down to the Holland, which will itself be slow for the lane closure. Expect delays into Canal St.
Full weekend closure ahead for the Manhattan-bound Brooklyn Bridge! Take the Manhattan Bridge or Battery Tunnel during the closure: midnight Friday night to 6 a.m. Monday morning.
No uptown-bound A or C trains at Fulton St., Chambert, Canal St., or Spring St. 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. A and C trains run via the F from Jay St.-MetroTech to West 4th St.
On West St./Route 9A, one lane will close in each direction between West Thames and Vesey Sts. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Two northbound lanes will close between Chambers and 59th Sts. 10 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.
Street closures in Tribeca: Chambers St. will close between Broadway and Church St. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. North Moore and Franklin Sts. will close between Hudson and Greenwich Sts. 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Yes, yes, and no. The speed camera program in New York City allows the cameras to be placed only within school zones and to operate during school hours, and one hour before and after the school day; and a period during school activities at the school and up to 30 minutes immediately before and up to 30 minutes immediately after such student activities. No, drivers do not receive points on their licenses for the speed camera tickets.
