To commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11, L&L Holding company is presenting here is new york @195 Broadway, a memorial exhibit consisting of more than 500 images that will be held at 195 Broadway from Saturday, Sept. 10 to Sunday, Sept. 18.
The exhibit is drawn from the 2001 SoHo installation, “here is new york: a democracy of photographs,” a compilation of photographs taken by amateurs and professionals following the Sept. 11 attacks. The show is a special-loan installation from the New York Historical Society, and offers a place to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001 and their aftermath.
“We are pleased to offer New Yorkers and visitors alike a unique opportunity to see these powerful images in a setting very close to Ground Zero as we join together to remember the tragic events of Sept. 11 and those we have lost,” said David W. Levinson, chairman and C.E.O. of L&L Holding Company. “Our hope is that people from across the city and around the world will make time to experience this collection of remarkable photographs, which reflect images and emotions that will remain with us forever.”
