Make Music New York’s Punk Island returned to Governors Island on Sat., June 19 with over 50 bands performing on eight stages.
Bands like Common Enemy, Humanwine, White Collar Crime, Urgent Fury and Lolita Black invaded the island and played for huge crowds that embraced the wide swaths of grass and the fresh air that Governors Island provides; a big change from the usual dank, dark clubs they’re used to.
