A pair of armed robberies hit the west side of Central Park over the weekend, police said.
A 45-year-old man was choked and held at gunpoint early Sunday while walking near West 81st Street.
The attacker, described as wearing green pants and a dark jacket with dreadlocks, grabbed the man from behind at about 1 a.m. He brandished a firearm and grabbed the man’s wallet and backpack before fleeing.
The victim was not hurt, police said.
In the first incident, a group of teens attacked a 20-year-old man and his 17-year-old girlfriend near West Drive at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, police said. The teens, who had a knife and a Taser, grabbed the girl’s purse and ran.
Her bag was found later, but with the cellphone missing, police said.
