Downtown forum on storm protections Wednesday night

Lower Manhattan is hosting an event Wednesday night in which Community members affected by Hurricane Sandy can learn more about a state-sponsored program aimed at helping New York to rebuild and become more resilient..

The public information meeting, will be Oct. 30 from 6 -8 p.m., in Parish Hall (74 Trinity Place), and will be run by the New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program, which was established by Governor Cuomo to provide additional assistance to areas that were damaged by the hurricane.

In addition to learning about the program, residents will have an opportunity to share their input on assets, needs, opportunities and community vision for a more resilient Lower Manhattan.
