Tommy Cardona, the newest ace pitcher of the 14-and-under Gauchos, no-hit the mighty Bonnies of Brooklyn last Tuesday. The 6-foot-3 Cardona was in control the entire game striking out 12 and walking only two. In the final inning, the Bonnies hit a seemingly sure single to right, but right fielder Matt Safko came up firing and threw the batter out at first. The Gauchos were 5-2 for the week, and remain atop the Parade Ground Summer League.
