Alternate Side Parking regulations remain in effect Wednesday, March 14th through Tuesday, March 27th.

Demo Alert for Wednesday! Hundreds of protesters are expected to gather outside Mitt Romney’s fundraising luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria on Park Ave. at 50th St. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and then march up Madison Ave. to demonstrate in front of hedge funds.

MTA Fastrack work continues on Eighth Avenue. There will be no A, C, E service between 59th St.-Columbus Circle in Manhattan and Jay St.-MetroTech in Brooklyn 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Friday morning. A trains will run via the D line from 59th St. to 47-50th St. and via the F line to Jay St. E trains will be rerouted to the F line between 53rd St. and Second Ave. There will be no overnight service to World Trade Center, Spring St., or Canal St.

Green-lock alert for St. Patty’s Day!  The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Midtown will close Fifth Avenue from 44th to 85th streets 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Vanderbilt Ave. between 43rd and 46th streets will also be closed for the parade formation. Avoid the roads and take transit.

This Sunday will be a doozy with the New York City Half-Marathon kicking off 7 a.m. Sunday. More than 15,000 runners will circle Central Park before taking over Seventh Ave. and the West Side Highway en route to the South Street Seaport. Expect rolling closures 7 a.m. to noon along the Central Park West between 106th and 110th Sts., Seventh Ave. between 59th and 42nd Sts., 42nd St. from Seventh Ave. to the West Side Highway, southbound West Side Highway from 42nd St. to the Battery Park Underpass, the Battery Park Underpass to South St., Old Slip to Water St., and Water St. between Old Slip and Fulton St.

First Lady Michelle Obama is taking her turn at New York City fundraisers on Thursday the 19th. She’ll head to Chelsea Piers along the West Side Highway at 23rd St. for a 3:30 p.m. bowling fundraiser hosted by Giants’ wide receiver Victor Cruz before stopping by David Letterman’s 4:30 p.m. taping at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway at W 54th St. Mrs. Obama’s evening ends in Tribeca with a 6 p.m. cocktail reception at Locanda Verde restaurant on Greenwich St. at N. Moore St. hosted by Robert De Niro and Whoopi Goldberg. No street closures are anticipated, but prepare for traffic delays and congestion.
