Madelyn Wils is leaving the New York City Economic Development Corporation to become the new Chief Executive Officer for the Hudson River Park Trust. Wils will replace Connie Fishman, who departed in February to join the YMCA of Greater New York.
A longtime Tribeca resident, Wils served on Community Board 1 in the early 1990s and is no stranger to waterfront issues. At the E.D.C. she kept watch over projects at Coney Island and the East River. She will stay on with the E.D.C. until the new ferry service for the East River launches later this month.
