Citi Habitats, Inc., has been named exclusive on-site leasing and marketing agent for The Coda, a new, seven-story, luxury residential building at 114 Ridge St. between Rivington and Stanton Sts.
The Coda was completed in August and is currently leasing its 29 studio, one- and two-bedroom units and loft penthouses with private roof terraces. Units range from 450 to 1,200 sq. ft. and each has its own balcony or terrace. The apartments have Black Absolute Granite kitchens with maple cabinetry and feature imported white Carrara marble baths, oversized windows, self-lit closets and premium oak flooring. Prices range from $1,500 to $4,500 per month.
Andrew Heiberger, president and chairperson of Citi Habitats, Inc., said, “This project is further proof that the real estate market is robust and that luxury inventory is much needed in the Lower East Side. The Coda is going to raise the bar for the standard of living in the neighborhood.”
Judah Klausner and Richard Freedman are the developers of The Coda. Klausner, inventor of the standard Electronic Organizer/PDA, including the Sharp Wizard and Palm Pilot, is the founder of Visual Access Technologies Inc.
The Coda reflects the neighborhood streetscape through the use of carved stone lion heads, arched window lintels, customized window design and an “old-looking” redbrick facade.
Klausner is also a songwriter. In homage to the Tin Pan Alley songwriters born on the Lower East Side, the building was named The Coda, a term referring to a musical composition’s concluding section.
